“Sparta Cup”

International Wrestling Freestyle Tournament

 October 9 - 13, 2014.

 The Department of Recreation and Sports with the sponsorship of The Olympic Wrestling Federation of Puerto Rico, invite you to participate in the 21st International Wrestling Freestyle Tournament “Sparta Cup” that will take place at the Olympic Training Center (OTC), in Salinas, Puerto Rico, on October 9 - 12, 2014.

 

 Estimated $500 total cost will include a Five day stay in Puerto Rico,

Air Fair, Uniform Package, Lodging, Entry Fee, Three Days of Competition, Competition Meals, Post Competition Lodging, Hotel Plaza De Armas 2.0 of 5

 Proof of age must be shown at registration. (I.e. Passport, Birth Certificate or 2008 USA Wrestling Competitors Card).

To participate, all wrestlers must be coursing studies in any academic institution (for example: elementary school, high school, university, college, postgraduate, etc)   Each team will be allowed more than one wrestler in the same weight class.   All teams must bring at least one referee., Local transportation and lodging will be provided as a courtesy of The Department of Recreation and Sports for all teams in residence, arriving and departing on the scheduled days in October.  The teams that do not arrive on the scheduled day will be responsible to pay for local transportation, meals and lodging.  All teams will confirm the participation before September 21. If the confirmation takes place after this date, we won’t cover meals and competition lodging expenses.  Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top three wrestlers on each weight class (two third places). Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams on each weight class
