Tier 1 – Best of the Best

This is a true battleground for wrestlers on the east coast. Four-, six-, or eight-man round-robin brackets with all decorated and accomplished opponents (three to four matches for each wrestler) National, State or New England place finishers, followed by state qualifiers, get preference.

Tier 2 – Best of the Rest: the next four or five best-accomplished wrestlers. Again, four- or five-man round-robin brackets with decorated opponents.

All entry forms must be received in advance of September 15, 2014   Once you’ve received pre-approval from Journeymen Wrestling to wrestle in the event, please tournament registration is online via   www.journeymenwrestling.com. Team travel registration is done through this website.  Click on the tournaflextournament section and use the drop-down bar to access the Journeymen Classic.• Registration is $55 ($53 + paypal fee). • THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS ONCE YOU REGISTER

 

99, 106, 113, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 225 and 285.  If certain weights do not get completely filled, we will match athletes up that are closest in weight (within reason).  Once you’ve been accepted at a particular weight, you are expected to compete at that weight since these are  all pre-determined brackets. Therefore, select the appropriate weight from the start!

Weigh ins: • Sat. evening, Oct. 4, at the Hampton Inn,  45 British American Blvd. • 6:00-7:30 pm • Sun. morning, Oct. 5, at Niskayuna HS • 7:15-7:45 am THIS IS MEANT FOR EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES ONLY.

MUST HAVE PRIOR APPROVAL  Wrestling: Begins Sun., Oct. 5 at 9:00 am on six mats  Awards: Event shirts are given to each participant, with a sick singletgiven to the winner, compliments of Forever Fierce and Adidas

 FLO MAJOR - This event is one of the select few FLO Majors in the country and it’s the very first FLO Major of the season. However, NOT all winners will be crowned FLO Major winners. Since there are two tiers in the event, only the weight classes deemed the 15 most competitive will get the nod, regardless of the tier. The 15 weights declared Flo Majors will be determined after weigh ins

We are also adding a middle school division (6-8 grade) on Sat Oct 4 2014 this year.  Info to follow on that.
